Is there anyone who isn’t suffering from Cabin Fever after these long months of snow & cold? Hopefully the weather forecast is correct for the weekend – 70+ degrees by Sunday! The arrival of spring calls for a celebration with some great food and beverage, perhaps even a bonfire with s’mores! If your schedule is packed, perhaps you should have your groceries delivered!
One thing for certain is that the grill is coming out this weekend. A Rib Eye Steak Topped with Blue Cheese Butter seems like a perfect way to kick off the grilling season.
No gathering should ever be without Guacamole (at least in our opinion) and we prefer the chunky kind. You can toss together at the last minute before your guests arrive and it won’t be long before the bowl is empty – always a hit!
A Caprese salad with vine-on tomatoes and fresh basil will be a must this weekend. So easy with minimal ingredients resulting in fabulous flavor. If you’re not feeling the love for Caprese salad this Corn, Tomato, and Avocado Salad is delicious and will bring some lovely color to your table.
If you’re thinking of breaking out the beer and grilling for a crowd this weekend; perhaps grilling our fresh brats served on our Taste of Scandinavia fresh brat buns with Sauerkraut Salad is the solution. A side of Corn on the Cob is never a bad thing – don’t forget the butter!
The California strawberries that we’re carrying this week are awesome! Searching through Pinterest for some ideas on how to use these Strawberries for a dessert we found a frozen Strawberries and Cream dessert and we can’t wait to make it. Use the Schroeder Heavy Whipping Cream for this dessert and I bet you will never use another brand, it is our favorite and used in many fine restaurants.
