While the onions are cooking, slice the Cube steak, slice against—or perpendicular to—the grain. Season sliced cube steak with Lawry’s seasoning. Be generous as it offers a lot of flavor.

Transfer the onions from the skillet to a plate. Now it’s time to cook the meat.Add 2 Tbsp. butter to the same skillet. Turn the heat to high, let the butter begin to brown. Add the meat to the hot skillet in a single layer. Do not stir. Fry until meat is browned on one side then flip and cook beef thoroughly. If you do not have an oversized skillet, you could cook and brown in 2 or 3 small batches to get the meat to brown.Once the meat is cooked, generously add Worcestershire sauce. Start with about 1/2 cup, you may have to add additional later if not enough juice.

Add Tabasco to taste, approximately five or six shakes. Stir to combine. If you like a little heat you will need to double.

Add 2 Tbsp. butter to the meat and sauce mixture, stir. Then add the cooked onions with the meat mixture, stir to combine and cover.

Slice Twin French Bread and melt 2 Tbsp. butter on a skillet or griddle pan and lay the bread open face down on the pan. When they’re lightly browned, flip them over for just about 1 minute, to warm them through and crisp up the outside of the French bread.

If you have some extra sauce in the pan, you could use a small bowl and serve as a dipping sauce with your sandwiches.
