Start by preheating the oven to 425 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.  Place the salmon on the baking sheet and drizzle with juice from ½ a lemon and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Combine the mayonnaise, ¾ of the chopped basil, and 3 Tbsp parmesan cheese in a small bowl.  Spread the mixture completely over the salmon.  Then, sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and an internal temperature of 145 degrees F is reached.

Slice the salmon into 4 equally sized pieces and serve warm.  Garnish with the remaining chopped basil and enjoy!
