These are addicting!  Who knew a chicken burger could taste so good?  Chicken Bacon Ranch Burgers are loaded with juicy chicken, melted cheddar cheese, crisp bacon, and plenty of ranch seasoning.  They are a new household favorite and something you should keep stocked in your freezer for plenty of summer grilling.

The recipe can be found here.

Start by cooking the bacon according to package instructions.  You can use any brand, thickness, or flavor of bacon you prefer.  Just make sure to have enough bacon to use as an ingredient inside the burgers and as a topping.  Once cooked, remove to a paper towel lined plate to drain the excess grease.  Chop 4 strips of bacon and set the other strips aside.

Add the ground chicken, chopped bacon, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and the entire packet of ranch seasoning to a mixing bowl.  Don’t make the ranch dressing, just use the seasoning.  I use the entire packet, but you can reduce the amount to your tastes.  If you do use less, add a few Tbsp of breadcrumbs to the mixture to help bind the burgers together.  You don’t want them falling apart on the grill!

Use your hands to mix well then form into 4 patties.  I like to wear disposable rubber gloves for this step but that’s up to you.  Just make sure to wash your hands well after.

Heat a skillet over medium heat (or heat your grill – cook these in a way you are most comfortable).  Lightly spritz the pan (or grill) with nonstick cooking spray.  Add the burgers and cook for about 7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.

While the burgers are cooking, preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

Place the buns on a baking sheet, open-faced.  Top each with the remaining cheddar cheese.  Bake for 3-4 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the buns are toasted.  You can also do this on the grill, just be careful of how hot the grill is.  You will noticed in my pictures that I also have bacon on the baking sheet.  I wanted to heat the bacon slightly as it had cooled while I prepped the burgers.  You can do this too or skip it!

Once the patties are done cooking, assemble the burgers.  Place 2 strips of bacon on the bottom half of each bun (break in half if needed).  Top with a burger patty.  Drizzle with ranch dressing.  This is all I need on my burger, but you can also add lettuce, tomato, or sliced onion.  Add the top half of the bun and enjoy!

The recipe can be found here.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t get enough of chicken/bacon/ranch combinations.  The flavors work well together and always leave me craving more.  We typically make 4 burgers and have 2 the first night for dinner and save the other 2 for dinner the next night.  You can easily double or triple the recipe if you are serving a larger group or want to freeze the burgers to save for later.  I would recommend freezing the patties raw, right after you form them, then thaw and cook when ready to use.

Happy Cooking!
