Tasty Tidings
It’s that time of year again where we bake way too many cookies, gorge on sweets, go cocktailing with friends, enjoy meals with family, and celebrate the holidays! This is my favorite time of year for baked goods and all things dessert. Anyone that knows me knows what a sweet tooth I have. I could spend all year creating new dessert recipes, fun reindeer shaped cookies, peppermint bark, anything gingerbread related, and more. Which is basically what I want to share with you today – delicious dessert recipes for the holidays! Here’s what I have for you: Gingerbread Whoopie Pies Gingerbread Cupcakes with Cinnamon Frosting Peppermint Lush Bars with Oreo Crust Cherry Fudge with Dark Chocolate First up are my Gingerbread Whoopie Pies. These are phenomenal! Incredibly moist cookies, an excessive amount of filling, and the perfect amount of spice. If you like gingerbread, you will LOVE these cookies. … Continue reading

Christmas Baking
Christmas is a time for baking, enjoying good food, and spending time with family and friends. The holidays may look a little different this year but that doesn’t mean you can’t participate it some of your usual traditions. Take a cookie exchange party for example, you can still bake the cookies but instead of getting together with friends to exchange, you can deliver to their doorstep or ship them. It’s a nice way to say you’re thinking about them and still want to be connected this holiday season. Plus, you can’t have a happy holiday without desserts and plenty of sweets 🙂 Whether you are making breads, cookies, pies, candy, or other goodies, I suggest you still follow through with your traditions. It will get you in the holiday spirit and bring some comfort to these trying times. I personally like to eat Christmas cookies all month long and even … Continue reading

Gameday Goodies
Are you ready for some football? The Super Bowl is right around the corn and I’m sure you’re busy getting ready to host a party or determine what you are going to bring to someone else’s party. It’s always fun to plan food that’s themed for a special event and try to make something unique. When I host an event, I like to have a variety of snacks to choose from; something warm, something hearty, grab-and-go type snacks, and at least one dessert item. This year for the Super Bowl, we are providing the following food options to our guests: Buffalo Chicken Dip with Tortilla Chips Fresh Popped Popcorn from Lauri’s Pop-Corner Pepperoni Pizza Rolls Mini Loaded Potato Skins Ranch Snack Mix Football Cupcakes The Buffalo Chicken Dip is available from the deli at your local Festival Foods. You can always order online ahead of time to guarantee availability. … Continue reading

Fan Favorite Food
Are you ready for some football…and delicious food? Snacks and appetizers served during a football game need to be fit for a crowd and easy to eat. Think finger foods, grab-and-go, quick and easy…. foods that don’t draw your attention away from the game for too long – you don’t want to miss any big plays! We’re hosting a football part this week and will be serving the following items: Football Pretzel Rods Individual Chicken Taco Bowls Loaded Tater Tot Kabobs Mini Football Pizzas Dessert Football Pretzel Rods are super simple to make and a crowd favorite! Plus, pretzels are such a common snack food so you can’t go wrong. I like to pick team colors or traditional football colors (or think seasonably if making these for a holiday gathering). My pretzel rods wills be dipped in milk chocolate with white chocolate used to create the look … Continue reading

Game Day!
Are you ready for some football? Getting together with family and friends on the weekend is a fun and spirited way to celebrate fall while cheering on your favorite team. There are so many games to watch and plenty of creative food options to choose from. We are gearing up for the big Viking / Packer game this weekend so I wanted to share some of our favorite football snacks. These were a hit for past games so I’m sure there will be some repeats for the game this weekend! I am not someone who can pass up sweets so I started with the most important part…dessert 🙂 I made chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate covered Oreos that I decorated to look like little footballs. Both are super easy to make! Start by lining 2 baking sheets with wax paper (this helps with easy clean-up too). Then melt 1 package … Continue reading
