Duunnn Dunnn… Duuuunnnn Duun… Duuunnnnnnnn Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dunnnnnnnnnnn Dunnnn Do you know what that is? It’s the JAWS theme song because Shark Week on the Discovery Channel is fast approaching 😊 Shark Week is a week-long celebration from Sunday, July 23 – Sunday, July 30, 2023, and features shark themed programming. It’s an incredibly popular week among shark enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning more. Chocolate Peppermint Trifles
Chocolate Peppermint Trifles are a wonderful no bake dessert for the holidays! Think layers of cookie crumbs, chocolate pudding, whipped cream, and crushed candy canes…it’s delicious! It’s a simple recipe that takes about 15 minutes to make and then sets in the fridge until ready to serve. If you don’t care for mint flavoring, you can use regular Oreos for the base. Add the milk, chocolate pudding, vanilla pudding, and peppermint extract to a large mixing bowl. Whisk to combine and set aside. The mixture will become thick. Same as before if you … Continue reading

National Dessert Day
National Dessert Day is October 14th and boy was I excited when I found out! It’s a day to indulge and enjoy sweets, and I love dessert…. any dessert….so I could not pass up sharing three of my favorite dessert recipes with you. When I say I love sweets, I mean I REALLY love sweets. If I’m offered a second helping of food, I would rather turn it down to save room for dessert. Or start my meal with dessert so I’m not too full afterward. National Dessert Day is my day 🙂 The 3 recipes I want to share with you today are: Tres Leche Cake Butterscotch Budino with Salted Caramel Pistachio Cheesecake First up is Tres Leche Cake. This is an authentic Mexican cake, soaked in a sweet milk mixture, and topped with homemade whipped cream, cinnamon, and berries. Tres Leche means “three milks” and that is … Continue reading
