Look no further for super simple yet delicious meal! I have Beyond Meat Sliders to share with you. I feel like a broken record when I talk about plant-based recipes…. they aren’t all the bad, they do have flavor, they have good texture, blah blah blah. Basically, I’m saying don’t knock it until you try it! These sliders were incredibly flavorful – like more flavorful than a traditional beef patty, plus they were tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. The recipe can be found here. Start by making the caramelized onions. Slice the onions into strips. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat, add the onions and cook for about 10 minutes or until soft and translucent. Season with sugar and salt and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for about 30 minutes or until the onions start to turn brown and caramelize, … Continue reading →
Who doesn’t love a good sandwich? I’m always looking for new sandwich recipes, or slider recipes, in this case. They make for a great tasty little bite, work well as appetizers, or can be packed for a light lunch. My favorite thing to do is make a 9×13 pan of sandwiches that can be portioned out, wrapped in foil, and grabbed each morning on my way to work. Today I want to share with you 4 different recipes for sliders. These are all simple recipes and are something the whole family will enjoy. I like to keep these recipes in my back pocket for holiday weekends (like the 4th of July) or you could make a pan to serve at a sleepover when the kids have the late-night munchies! For many years I thought the word “slider” meant a tiny hamburger, but boy was I wrong! Sliders are small sandwiches made with slider rolls that come in a variety of flavors, and they are all the rage. Think meat and cheese melted together in the oven on a crisp roll – yum! I can attest that all the recipes I’m about to share with you are not only delicious but easy to make. You can even customize for various occasions – Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders for a Kentucky Derby Party, Apple Turkey Cheddar Sliders using the apples you purchased at the Apple Orchard, Chicken and Waffle Sliders when hosting brunch, etc. You get the idea 🙂 Ham and Swiss Sliders are probably the most common slider (in my world at least). These are filled with juicy ham and Swiss cheese nestled in a Kings Hawaiian Roll. The tops of … Continue reading →
Friends and family will be coming together with Christmas right around the corner. Are you ready for all the festivities? Are you hosting a party? It can be stressful preparing for a get-together with a house full of guests, but it doesn’t need to be. Some people have multiple places to stop in one night while others have one stop to make. Whether your guest are coming and going or staying for the evening, you can serve a simple menu of appetizers. I think this is a great idea because 1) your guests can eat as much or as little as they like, 2) you can have a large variety of options to choose from, and 3) you spend more time socializing with your guests than you do in the kitchen. Here’s what I plan on serving: Burrata with Cranberries and Ciabatta Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Gruyere Scalloped Potatoes Chicken Parmesan … Continue reading →
