Do you remember those yummy ice cream pizzas you probably had as a child at Dairy Queen?  They came in multiple favors and were typically served at a party.  They were my FAVORITE!  And there was a time in my life that I believe they were discontinued, and I was admittedly bummed to never have one again.  However, I was able to find a way to recreate them as copycat versions of the original.

I have 3 recipes to share with you today for Copycat Treatzza Pizzas…I call them Ice Cream Pizza.

Let’s start by walking through the M&M Ice Cream Pizza.  You start with an Oreo crust, top it with vanilla ice cream, drizzle with hot fudge, and add M&M candies to finish it off.  This is a classic ice cream dessert that’s incredibly simple to make.

The recipe can be found here.

Start by adding the Oreos to a food processor and pulsing them into fine crumbs.  You don’t want any chunks to remain.

Heat the hot fudge in the microwave for 30 seconds (or longer if needed) until melted.  Add ½ cup of the melted fudge to the food processor and pulse until well blended.

Press the mixture onto a 12-inch pizza pan that has been lined with wax paper.  You want to create a circle or as close to a circle as you can get (you can probably tell mine is a little lopsided).  Just do your best!  I also couldn’t find 12-inch aluminum pans, so I ended up purchasing 16-inch pans.  If you need to use a larger size pan that’s OK just try to create as close to a 12-inch circle as possible and have extra room on the outside.

Place the crust in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to firm up.

While the crust is firming up, let the ice cream sit on the counter to soften.  This will make it easier to spread over the crust.

Once softened, spread in an even layer on the crust.

Drizzle the remaining melted hot fudge over the top of the ice cream.  Mine was still runny enough to drizzle at this point but you can heat it in the microwave again if needed.

Top with M&M’s and freeze until firm.  Add as many M&M’s as you like!

Once ready, slice and serve.  It’s sometimes helpful to let it sit on the counter for 5 minutes to soften slightly before slicing.  Keep any leftovers in the freezer.  Enjoy!

The recipe can be found here.

Next up is the Heath Bar Ice Cream Pizza.  This is made the exact same way as the M&M version, but you add Heath Bits as a topping instead of M&M’s in the last step.  So, you start with an Oreo crust, top it with vanilla ice cream, drizzle with hot fudge, and add Heath Bar Bits to top it off.  This one is probably my favorite.  I love the combination of toffee bits with hot fudge.

The recipe can be found here.

Lastly, let’s walk through the Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pizza.  This one is also prepared similarly to the M&M and Heath, but you use melted peanut butter in place of the hot fudge.  You start with an Oreo crust, top it with vanilla ice cream, drizzle with peanut butter, and add Reese’s candies to finish it off.  If you are a peanut butter fan, you will LOVE this ice cream pizza.

The recipe can be found here.

Start by adding the Oreos to a food processor and pulsing them into fine crumbs.  You don’t want any chunks to remain.

Heat the hot fudge in the microwave for 30 seconds (or longer if needed) until melted.  Add the melted fudge to the food processor and pulse until well blended.

Once softened, spread in an even layer on the crust.

Melt the peanut butter in a microwave safe dish for 30 seconds or until completely melted.  Drizzle over the top of the ice cream.

Top with Reese’s Pieces and Reese’s Minis (I like to cut them in half) and freeze until firm.  Add as much candy as you like!

Once ready, slice and serve.  It’s sometimes helpful to let it sit on the counter for 5 minutes to soften slightly before slicing.  Keep any leftovers in the freezer.  Enjoy!

The recipe can be found here.

These aren’t the exact same as the Dairy Queen version, but they are a pretty good substitute if you ask me!  They are perfect for a summer BBQ, birthday party, or to simply make and keep in your freezer for anytime you need something sweet 🙂

Happy Cooking!
