Do you remember those yummy ice cream pizzas you probably had as a child at Dairy Queen?  They came in multiple favors and were typically served at a party.  They were my FAVORITE!  And there was a time in my life that I believe they were discontinued, and I was admittedly bummed to never have one again.  However, I was able to find a way to recreate them as copycat versions of the original. M&M Ice Cream Pizza Heath Bar Ice Cream Pizza Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pizza   Let’s start by walking through the M&M Ice Cream Pizza.  You start with an Oreo crust, top it with vanilla ice cream, drizzle with hot fudge, and add M&M candies to finish it off.  This is a classic ice cream dessert that’s incredibly … Continue reading

Growing up I always loved a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  I mean, who didn’t?  It was a staple in my daily life and it’s making a comeback.  However, instead of sandwich form I’m pairing it with another food I love.  What for it……chicken wings.  Yes, peanut butter and jelly chicken wings.  A little louder for those in the back…PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY CHICKEN WINGS! The recipe can be found here. These wings are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and will satisfy any craving.  They are the perfect combination of sweet and spicy while being incredibly savory.  The chicken wings are coated in a delicious peanut sauce and the raspberry jelly dipping sauce brings it all together.  The combination of peanut butter, jelly, and chicken might sound weird, but I strongly suggest putting your hesitation aside and giving these wings a try! Start by preheating the oven to 425 degrees F and lining … Continue reading

There really is no better time to enjoy ice cream than a hot summer day!  You can obviously eat ice cream year-round but it’s such a cool and refreshing treat during the warm months.  With so many flavors to choose from, you’ll be sure to find your favorite.  I wanted to do something different for National Ice Cream day so I’m celebrating by making homemade ice cream. This week is Spring Break for me but we’re not going anywhere.  Plans were made, then cancelled, and we’re finding other ways to enjoy our staycation.  I’m thankful we have a healthy household and even more thankful to have time to work on recipes! This blog is about a variety of Snack Mixes, or Trail Mix as some people call it.  I was going to make a variety of Snack Mixes to bring on our road trip but just because the trip was postponed doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy those snacks at home 🙂 Snack Mixes are great for a variety of reasons; they are easy to make, are a great on-the-go snack, can be customized to different tastes, they make a TON, and hold up quite well in a Ziploc bag.  So…they make the perfect snack for a road trip.  Since most of the country is missing spring break, … Continue reading
