I recently saw a Tik Tok of someone making Chicken Parmesan Sliders and knew I had to try to recreate them myself. Upon watching the (short) video again, I realized they were BUFFALO Chicken Parmesan Sliders, and I was all in. Anytime buffalo chicken is involved I’m game. It’s one of my favorite things to eat and I love sampling different variations. These sliders are essentially little Chicken Parm sandwiches with a bit of heat from the buffalo sauce. They are incredibly easy to make and are packed with flavor. The recipe can be found here. Start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Yes, you are going to make these on a baking sheet vs a 9×13 baking dish. Line 18 chicken nuggets on the baking sheet and bake according to packaging instructions, until warmed through and crispy. Use a … Continue reading →
The ultimate handheld slider sandwiches are Herbed Chicken Parmesan Sliders. They are made with ground chicken, not traditional breaded chicken, and are perfect for a crowd or when you want a lighter dinner. Top with melted mozzarella cheese, fresh marinara sauce, and crisp basil, and you have the perfect slider! I think the sliders taste best on toasted ciabatta rolls (who doesn’t love ciabatta?) but slider buns will also work just fine. The ciabatta makes the sliders feel more authentic and Italian. The recipe can be found here. My first step is to bake the ciabatta rolls. I buy bake and serve rolls, so I always get that out of the way before I prep any of the other ingredients. Then I set them aside to cool while working on the rest of the recipe. You can skip this step depending on the type of rolls you are using. Next, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F … Continue reading →
I had a craving recently for something spicy and cheesy…. something with big flavor that wouldn’t be a dish I’ve had in the past or one of our standard weeknight meals. Jalapenos were the first thing to cross my mind, so I started getting creative and settled on Jalapeno Popper Dip and Cheesy Jalapeno Turkey Sliders. Jalapeno Popper Dip is very similar to Jalapeno Poppers but in dip form with the jalapenos mixed in. If you love Jalapeno Poppers, you’re going to love this Jalapeno Popper Dip! There is plenty of cheese and diced jalapenos in each bite, and the breadcrumbs on top adds a little crunch that brings the whole dip together. It’s the perfect party appetizer! The recipe can be found here. Here’s how you make it! Start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees. Then, dice the jalapenos. I used 4 jalapenos but feel free to add … Continue reading →
Sliders are a great way to keep everyone happy whether you’re hosting a football party, entertaining with appetizers, or trying to be creative with school lunches. They really are a crowd pleaser with so many different flavors! I recently tried 3 different kinds of sliders and want to share them with you today. Each is delicious in its own way and something I will definitely make again! Sliders are incredibly easy to make. You slice the rolls in half, layer the ingredients, place the other half of the rolls on top, brush with a buttery topping, bake, and enjoy! Caprese Sliders Pizza Sliders Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders Caprese Sliders are light and refreshing. The combination of fresh sliced mozzarella with tomatoes and basil is perfection! Next year, we plan on using the tomatoes and basil from our garden to make these sliders – it doesn’t get any fresher than … Continue reading →
For many years I thought the word “slider” meant a tiny hamburger, but boy was I wrong! Sliders are small sandwiches made with slider rolls that come in a variety of flavors, and they are all the rage. Think meat and cheese melted together in the oven on a crisp roll – yum! I can attest that all the recipes I’m about to share with you are not only delicious but easy to make. You can even customize for various occasions – Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders for a Kentucky Derby Party, Apple Turkey Cheddar Sliders using the apples you purchased at the Apple Orchard, Chicken and Waffle Sliders when hosting brunch, etc. You get the idea 🙂 Ham and Swiss Sliders are probably the most common slider (in my world at least). These are filled with juicy ham and Swiss cheese nestled in a Kings Hawaiian Roll. The tops of … Continue reading →
Ok jockeys, quit horsing around it’s time for some Kentucky Derby Themed recipes. I’ve got the Triple Crown of recipes for you now, so bear with me! First up we’re serving Bourbon Meatballs which you’ll find have an exquisite sweet heat to them. We started with Mom’s Meatloaf, found in our Meat Department. Place the meatloaf in a bowl and mix together with finely chopped onion then form into 1″ balls (use a small scoop to help make uniform size). Heat some olive oil in a skillet and brown each of the meatballs, then transfer to a baking sheet and place into your preheated oven (at 350F) until cooked through. Next up we are going to work on our bourbon sauce. To make the bourbon sauce, you’re going to need apricot preserves, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, hot chili sauce, molasses, water, and bourbon. Tempting as it may be to drink, you … Continue reading →
I love to eat apples year round but there is something special about eating apples in fall; the weather is getting cooler, colors are starting to change, and apple-picking season is upon us. They are crisp, sweet, refreshing, and a true symbol of fall. One of my favorite snacks to make in the fall is Apple Salsa. It’s something I had years ago at a local apple orchard and absolutely loved it! I knew I had to recreate it and spent hours trying to do so, and think I have the recipe perfected! The recipe can be found here. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. I think it’s more sweet than spicy but there is a subtle spicy undertone. Paired with some tortilla chips this is an amazing snack! Plus it’s fairly healthy and not overly filling so you don’t have to feel bad if you eat more … Continue reading →
As long as we are hunkered-in attempting to stay warm during the Polar Vortex, we might as well plan that Super Bowl party! Let’s face it Chicken wings are a necessity on a party buffet. We prefer serving boneless wings, they’re neater to eat and no bones for the kids or pets to worry about. That doesn’t mean you need to make them yourself, our Delis make some spectacular wings. Serve the Buffalo version of our wings with this easy Steakhouse Blue Cheese dressing recipe! Our Sweet Chili Boneless Wings are another very popular option and a nice alternative to the spicy Buffalo wings. An easy to serve Slider bar allows your guests to customize their sandwiches. Most of the work can be done ahead and the shredded beef can hold in a crock pot for hours. Toppings could include: sliced jalapeños sliced banana peppers chopped onion sliced pickles … Continue reading →
Well we might not be invited but there’s no reason we can’t have our own fabulous “Governor’s Ball”. The menu by Wolfgang Puck for the 2013 Governor’s Ball is somewhat intimidating but there is no reason we can’t whip up some pretty fine fare in our own homes to watch the Academy Awards in fine-tasting style with friends. Rather than their shrimp fritters for an appetizer try our recipe for Beer-Battered Coconut Shrimp with a lovely light batter. These Italian Sliders would really spice up the evening and make quite an impression, made with our very own fresh Italian sausage -made right in the store. Always on our table when entertaining is Chunky Guacamole and now a new favorite on our table is a Black Bean Dip, a spicy warm delight. Buffalo flavor something is always on the table as well. For something new pick up some of … Continue reading →
